Alongside her collaboration with Saburo Teshigawara and Karas, Rihoko Sato has been working on dance projects under her own name since 2018, as a choreographer.
The passion within that is lost and can be triggered again by someone or something, is the key subject to this piece.
A piece searching for hope and longing for a way out from solitude and despair.

Traces is a choreography for six dancers, presented in the triple bill Dreamers (Philippe Kratz / Rihoko Sato / Ohad Naharin), commisioned and performed by the Fondazione Nazionale della Danza / Aterballetto.

Commissioned by the Berlioz Festival in France, the first choreography signed and performed by Rihoko Sato was a collaboration with the vocal and music ensemble La Tempête, directed by Simon-Pierre Bestion.
