MOVEMENT L © Ulf Langheinrich

3D vertical stereoscopic film

That which is visible in MOVEMENT L is based on real film shootings, but the final image material is an algorithmic invention; not a single frame of the former shooting sessions remains. The presented motion sequences are also reanimated inventions. The space is reconstructed, as is the 3D space. Actually, nothing is "true" any longer, or it never was. And yet the images are still sufficiently encoded as a reference to reality, and the decoded reality in the act of watching is therefore an emotion generator.
The production of images as the vampiristic assimilation and eradication of the living, as presumption, as fraud. The act of watching as a projection into the image and a voyeuristic act. Increasing fatigue in the face of prurient nullities, as an experience of emptiness. Not disproving the other, unable to prove oneself. A work about diminishing pain..
