From the first portraits of the ancient Egyptian Empire, which were exclusively intended for the dead and the gods, to the cumbersome selfies intended to be seen by the greatest number of people on social media, portraits have seen their form and function vary. They have known periods of intense creativity or total disaffection according to the religions and powers in place. This exhibition aims to present forms of portraiture that go beyond simple graphic representation through the use of modern techniques.
